Volunteer Information

We can't help horses without our incredible volunteers!

As an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff, each and every volunteer that comes our way is truly valuable to our organization. We couldn't continue to rescue and rehabilitate horses in need without them and are always in need of individuals who are dedicated and dependable to lend us a helping hand. The horses at our rescue farm in Meggett, SC depend on us to care for them and we owe it to them to provide the best quality care that we possibly can.  Help us help them get a second chance at life!

Volunteer duties include:

  • Assisting with morning and afternoon feed shifts
  • Stall/barn cleaning
  • Pasture maintenance
  • Grooming
  • Special events & fundraisers
  • Barn projects

Youth volunteers are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We also welcome groups.

Horse experience is a plus but not required.

Once we receive your volunteer application we will contact you to schedule a volunteer orientation.  Volunteer orientation involves joining one of our lead volunteers for a 3 hour shift where we feed, water and clean up after our horses.

After orientation is complete, farm volunteers may sign up for morning or afternoon feeding shifts per our on-line schedule.

If you aren't able to help physically, we always need help in other areas:

  • Fundraising
  • Special Events
  • Administrative work
  • Feed & Hay delivery drivers
  • Adoption & Sponsor marketing
